Rediscovering old favorites

We're in the process of a major house-cleaning, clearing out stuff we don't use, trying to make more room. You see, it's like spring cleaning, except we waited until the heat and humidity of July could really kick in. My hope is to decrease the number of everything - including toys - but we'll see how that goes over.
In one box in the back of a closet I found some of my old childhood books and I was really excited to be able to share them with Kay. As I was looking through them I realized that this book I got in first grade would be about 25 years old now - does that make it a collectible? Wow, someone got old.
Anyway, 2 of my favorites that I remember reading where among the stack I found - not to mention several Mercer Meyer books - were "Baby Dear" by Eloise Wilkins and "Everyday Morning at Play Group," by Michaela Muntean. I remember my grandmother reading them to me all the time!
Reading time is my favorite time of the day, and not just because I love reading. Even more, I love just sitting with Kay, no distractions, just the bonding time, and I go out of my way to make sure we have that time together. I don't know about her, but it's my favorite time of the day!  Do you have any books from your childhood that you enjoy reading again with your own children?

I love reading with my girls, too! We haven't gotten to the stage of reading the same books I remember, but I do love to do all the nursery rhymes I knew when I was a kid.
