What is it about owls that's so cute? The big eyes? The majestic wings? Certainly not their choice of diet (eww!)... In any case, owl crafts are adorable, and I think these cuties deserve to join the flock!
I got the idea for this one from Pinterest (where else?). I had corrugated cardboard and needed to find some ideas of what to do with it all. So I decided to replicate these recycled owls, with a few adaptions.

We received the buttons and googly eyes from our friends at CraftProjectIdeas.com!
First, I traced a circle. I tested out some different wing styles until I found one I liked and cut out two pairs of those as well. I wasn't sure how to make their eyes. Just googly eyes didn't look right, but neither did just buttons, even layered buttons. But...oh, look at that - the googly eyes fit just *perfectly* in the buttons. Now we're talking!
I glued on the eyes and the wings, and cut out a little triangle beak with the orange cardstock. I loved the original, but I love our sillier, more colorful version, too!
