Fun Fillers for Plastic Ornaments

Plastic ornaments are great for kids - fill them up with something colorful for an easy tree decoration!
Have you seen those clear plastic ornaments? You can get them in craft stores or catalogs. They're ideal for kids because there's so many opportunities for them - and there's no worry about them breaking. Kay loves filling them up with anything she can find. But they make good crafts for any age because you can make some fab-looking ornaments for your tree or even gifts without having any creative talent at all (gotta love that!).

Here's a list of things to get you thinking...what will you fill your ornament with?
  • glitter
  • pom poms
  • jingle bells
  • beads
  • paint
  • Legos
  • feathers

  • confetti
  • scrunched-up tissue paper
  • seashells
  • fake snow
  • pipe cleaners

  • glass gems
  • buttons
  • candy (little candy canes would be cute or red and green M&Ms!)

I always see these ornaments and try to figure out what would look good inside. I'm totally trying the legos this year!
