'Tis the season for fall crafts. With a newly rediscovered hole punch (things go in that junk drawer and just disappear, I'm telling ya!) I made little circles in red, yellow and orange. I also made some random colored punchings from paper I found in the recycling bin. ('Tis also the season for election mailings.) I left them in a little cup on the table, with a brown crayon, some squeeze glue and paper, for her to find.
When she sat down I mentioned something about trees, but that wasn't the direction she was going for. Instead, swirls of glue decorated her paper. She started off by taking a pinch of the autumn-colored confetti and sprinkling it over the glue; by the end she simply dumped it on.
There were no trees to be had, but there were lovely pictures in fall colors. Think of them as abstract trees!
