Buying second-hand things has been our way, mostly for affordability. I recently found out about Swap.com, an online consignment site for second-hand baby and children's items.
I've tried out other places online to buy used items. Most areas have a Facebook group that serves as an online yard sale, with people posting what they wish to get rid of. The downside: many times I've arranged to meet someone - either to buy or sell - and they never showed. I'm left waiting around for someone who perhaps had no intention of coming. And I still haven't gotten rid of what I wanted to sell or acquired what I wanted to buy. Frustrating!
Best part - no fraud. Since all items are inspected, stored, and shipped from the Swap.com warehouse, you don't have to worry about some unscrupulous person taking advantage of your time or money. Plus, shipping costs can be combined even if your items are purchased from different sellers, because they're all coming from the same place.
