Using a glass is something most parents would be hesitant to let their preschooler try. In fact, some would blanch in fear at the very thought. Slippery fingers, shattered glass - ugh, not pretty. But we got a chance to review these Kupps, designed so that kids as young as 3 can use a glass...safely!
The Kupp Challenge
I explained to Kay that this blue cup was hers and she was in charge of it. I wasn't keen for her to wash it, but she had to get it out, set it on the table and bring it to the sink when she was finished. She loved that this was her cup and no one else could use it. I also saw that she was proud to drink from a real glass, just like a "big kid".
I hate to admit that I am someone who oten finds it easier to just hand Kay a paper cup when she's thirsty. But she was adamant about using her special blue cup, so we are already in the habit of using less plastic, which is always a good thing. (Who knew a stubborn preschooler could ever be a good thing?!)
- You can choose from 4 colors that each represent the environment, blue for water, green for the earth, orange for the sun, and red for warmth.
- Both the glass and the silicone sleeve are made from environmentally-friendly manufacturers.
- You don't have to remove the sleeve to wash it - and it's even dishwasher safe!
