I wait all year for the after-Christmas sales at the craft stores. Yes, sadly I'm very serious. My favorite finds are the ones that are heavily discounted but aren't even the least bit Christmas-y. This year I snagged some chipboard letters and I couldn't wait to decorate them.

- Chipboard letter
- Acrylic paint
- Paint pen
I started off with my own initial. At first I wanted to decorate it with old book pages (me, books - we just go together!) but I got a design in my head in the middle of the night and decided to see if I could pull it off.
I started out by painting the whole thing a light blue with acrylic paint.
When it was dry I went through Kay's stencils to find the circles one and, using a gold-colored paint pen, made different shape circles all over the letter.
I like that some of them are only half-circles, almost like they're floating off the letter!
I haven't gotten to the rest of the letters yet (and Kay is ever-so-impatiently waiting for hers to be done) but I have a feeling I'm going to stick with this design. Hey, when it ain't broke....blah, blah.
